RESULTS

Gwynne and her gang have been very successful recently with their racing. Winning a trophy for 1st lady malamute, (the second year they have won it), and consistently are placed in the top 8 in all competitions they have entered. Well done Gwynne we are very proud of you.

BIRTHDAY PARTY

The club held its 17th birthday party on 26th October. The rain decided to let us have a few hours off and we were able to enjoy some outside games. In the agility ring Sam and Wilson won first place!!!! Lots of other members did well with their dogs, Kirry and Summer were on form and Sarah and Floyd are really beginning to shine.

Liam was judging in the obedience ring and commented on what a good day Angela and Briney had in the ring. Katie and Chloe were awarded a judges special for their efforts at obedience.

Well done to all of you that achieved your standard in Good Citizen Awards, this was a really successful day for the clubs members with many dogs passing bronze, silver or gold.

Thanks to everyone who helped out on the day, Helen and Tracy worked particularly hard in the kitchen. None of these events would be possible without your help. If you have any suggestions on how we can make things bigger and better for next year please talk to committee.

CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Well Christmas seems to have come round again quickly this year, here are the dates that you need to know…

Obedience/Puppy parties  8th December 7.30. There is no charge for this night, but please bring a donation for the raffle and a plate of food. This should be a fun evening with a raffle and party games. (including sleigh rides with the malamutes). Please bring spending money!!!!!!!!

This is the last obedience meeting before Christmas, we will re-start again on the 5th January 2009.

Agility parties  Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th December. 7.15 start. Please bring a raffle prize and a plate of food. This will be last agility session and we will re-start again 7th and 8th January 2009.

We will also be having a special raffle this year, unfortunately BIBIC our charity that we sponsor every year have lost their therapy pool due to a fire. We would like to help them with an extra donation, therefore the proceeds from all raffles will be put to BIBIC. The Special raffle tickets are £3 each and the first prize is a mornings training session with Tim and Carol either obedience or agility, the second prize will be a months free training at club, and the third prize will be a luxury hamper. Please see carol or committee member for your ticket don’t miss out!!!!!!

PLEASE REMEMBER- Christmas can be a dangerous time for dogs/puppies. Do be careful what you feed your pets over the festive season, many of the foods we have in our homes at this time are far too rich for a dogs delicate tummy. In particular CHOCOLATE should be kept out of dogs way as this is poisonous to them and sometimes even in small doses can be fatal.

The  committee and trainers would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the support you give the club all year, and we look forward to another successful year in 2009! A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!!!!
