NEWS As you will probably all know by now, Ian has left the club and has moved back to Lancashire to be nearer his family. This is a big loss for the club, Ian is both a fantastic trainer and a great friend. We wish him all the best.

These people help with the running of the club and include positions such as ‘treasurer’ and ‘secretary’. Your Trainers are: Liam, Tim, Lynn, Linda, Susan, Angela, Carol, Ann, Kirsty, Sarah. These people give their time freely, and are always willing to help and give advice on all aspects of dog training and ownership.
THANK YOU ( submitted by Lynn Matthews) “Can I just say thank-you very much to everybody that voted for me at the A.G.M. It’s nice to know that what we do as trainers is appreciated. I think at Frome we are lucky to have so many members that are keen to train their dogs to all levels. I hope it long continues so to finish – have fun with your dogs, keep up the training, and once again thank you very much.” DATES FOR YOUR DIARY The clubs birthday party will be on the 26th October this year 11am – 3pm. At Beckington village hall. This will be a fun day for you and your dogs, lots of games to try or have a go in the obedience ring or on the agility course, its all for fun and is a social occasion. There will also be an opportunity to do your ‘good citizen award’. Tickets are available now £3 each which includes a hot dog/burger and a drink!. Don’t miss out!!!!!!!! DISPLAYS BIBIC. Had to be canceled as there was nobody to tow the trailer. Carol was disappointed with the response from the forms attached to the last newsletter regarding displays. Very few (3) were returned. As I’m sure you can appreciate the displays that we do in the summer take a lot of organization. Therefore please do ‘your bit’. If you are asked to supply information by way of filling in a form please do so – it makes organizing a lot easier. Thanks. OBEDIENCE Obedience classes will have a price increase to £3 per week. I’m sure you agree that this still represents good value for money. And also all memberships are due 1st September £6 for 6 months. AGILITY Yet again it has to be mentioned in this newsletter about lateness!! Please, please, please, arrive for first class at 7.15pm. This enables set-up time, the more people that help the quicker it gets done and the more time you have to train your dogs. |
